The Science Behind Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy can feel like a bit of a mystery from the outside, so we wanted to show you exactly what's happening underneath the fur.

This diagram shows how red and near-infrared light behave once they reach your dog's skin. Red light (660nm) stays closer to the surface, while near-infrared light (850nm) travels further, reaching down into the muscle layer beneath.

It's a completely natural process, simply light interacting with the body. Nothing is injected, ingested, or absorbed chemically, which is why it's such a gentle addition to your dog's routine.

Appears a good quality product and seems to be helping with my dogs movement and pain when used daily.. it’s not a cure but he’s very happy and relaxed to sit or lie while using it which I was surprised about so must be doing something positive and a bonus iv been using it to help with my arthritis in my hands and knees to test it and I’m impressed but il see how it goes in winter when my pain is at its worst. I do think it needs to be used daily for best results.

That “extra second” getting up has gone

Our boy Bruno has always powered through discomfort, so I didn’t realise how stiff he’d become until recently. He’d lie down fine but getting back up always took that extra second.

He doesn’t try to take it off (huge win!)

I was fully expecting Ted to wriggle and protest but he just sits calmly. We mainly use it around his hips after longer walks. He relaxes almost immediately. After about a month of use, he’s noticeably less stiff after exercise. Subtle improvement, but consistent.

So easy to use and part of our evening routine

I was slightly unsure at first as there are so many red light products online, but after reading about Mila and speaking to Elliott I felt confident this was the right one. We use the smaller wrap pad in the evenings while she’s curled up on my lap. It straps on securely but comfortably and Luna completely relaxes within minutes. You can actually see her settle.

What’s great about this company, they respond. I queried when the red light pad would arrive not expecting a prompt response. I got one within 1 hour, which provided clear instructions on the postage and when the product would arrive. It did when they said it would and I even got a written email to say it had arrived! Nowadays that is a very rare. What’s great about this product, my dog has severe arthritis in his right leg, we use the pad on P1 for 20 minutes twice daily, I don’t know how it works, but when he first gets up after using the pad, he doesn’t limp at all. The limp comes back but I am hopeful with continual use this will ease in time. The product was provided with clear, concise instructions, in English. Keep going guys you are doing a great job 👏

A nice bit of extra support
